ABOUT ME
Hey All!! I'm a mom, a housewife, an administrator, an athlete, and a complete bookworm. I presently reside in Washington state in a suburb of Seattle but I am originally from the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana area or for those who are not from there, we will just go with Cincinnati, but for those who are, I was raised in a small town just over the Indiana border about 30 minutes west of Cincinnati.

To list my interests and hobbies would be long and you will probably start to get bored after the first 10 but I will try to break them down into....we'll call them categories. These categories are as follows:

Reading(duh you wouldn't be here if that wasn't one)

Exploring by land or by water(Hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, road trips, etc)

Reenacting(see hobby above)-this is not Cosplay or Larping(Live Action Role-Playing, for those who don't know). I try to portray people as real as I can, much of my portrayals are based on my own family who has been in the state since the French and Indian War(cool right?!?)

Embarrassing my 9 year old(what parent doesn't make this a hobby, our parents did lol), this is also not hard for me as he thinks things like playing my radio or any music in my car while windows are down and others can hear is embarrassing and me being the mom that I am and the person I am(see next hobby to understand) will just turn my radio up and start shamelessly singing causing more embarrassment. It's truly a vicious cycle.

Music(see I told you it would come into play) I have been singing since I was in 4th grade, playing piano since before that. I have also played clarinet and have feebly attempted to learn guitar. With music always comes dancing. I never took ballet and tried to take tap but it just didn't do it for me. Then I watched the movie Swing Kids and was mesmerized by the swing dancing I saw. Soon I learned how to East Coast swing dance(think every 40's movie you have ever watched that had people dancing to drums and trumpets with girls flying over the back of guys in cool flips and lifts), in college I learned to ballroom dance and now a good waltz or loud and jarring big band sing dance bring me significant joy.
With all of these interests that roll over into other interests, it's hard to keep my attention or my interest on any one thing. This is where books come in. For me a book can transport me to any time, any place, with things and beings that can only be dreamed about. A book can encompass all of my interests in one, can give me inspiration for one of those interests, or let my mind rest and and unwind when I am stuck on a project or an issue. With all that in mind I had to find a way to turn my truly favorite thing to do into something that could contribute to my family's well-being and happiness as well as my own.

Which brings me to writing this 'About Me'. Now that I'm on Fiverr as a Beta Reader, I wanted to create a space to where authors can learn about me. I mean REALLY learn. I have an enormous amount of respect for authors. I love their ability to weave a tale that gets me so interested I will find any excuse to keep that book in my hand. Now I find it only fair that if they are trusting me with their hard work, the least I can do is have a space so that they can see exactly who they are dealing with. So to any author out there reading this wondering if they want me as a Beta Reader, I don't care what kind a novel it is, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Romance, Mystery, Horror, I want to read them all!! If there is something that may not make sense or maybe details aren't fully there, I will find it and we can hash it out together.
Though this is a revenue stream for me, my main goal is to help YOU succeed. I want to be able to walk into a bookstore and say "They made it! I'm so excited for them!" as I walk to the counter to purchase your book. If I can help you, even just a little, it is enough. To the readers reading this, thank you for your time.
